A senior Iranian official affirmed on Tuesday the necessity of an immediate end to the siege imposed on Yemen.
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Ali Akbar Velayati, the advisor to the leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran for political and international affairs, considered that Yemen constitutes a fundamental pillar of the Resistance Front and a guardian of the region’s independence in the face of hegemony, and the same applies to Hezbollah, according to the Al-Mayadeen channel.
This came during Velayati’s meeting with a delegation from the Ansar Allah movement, in which he stressed Iran’s position in the face of colonialism seeking to eliminate the resistance as strong, clear, and steadfast.
He pointed out that “the forty-day war changed the balance of power in the region, and the United States no longer has a place in West Asia, as the scales have now tilted in favor of the resisting peoples.”
This comes days after an Iranian civilian aircraft succeeded in reaching Sana’a Airport, breaking the Saudi siege on the airport that has continued for 11 years amid the failure of the Saudi regime’s aircraft to thwart the step and Sana’a’s affirmation that flights between it and Tehran will continue.
