The UAE declared a break with Saudi Arabia in Yemen on Tuesday. This coincides with its followers launching an escalatory program against the Saudi occupation in the south and east of the country.

Abu Dhabi allowed Hani bin Breik, the Vice President of its loyal Transitional Council and one of the most prominent leaders holding Emirati citizenship, to comment on developments in southern and eastern Yemen from his residence in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
Bin Breik said in a tweet on his social media page, the first of its kind in years, that Saudi Arabia could have rectified the situation in the south, pointing out that what it is practicing is a continuation of the slippery slope.
Bin Breik invoked the UAE and its role in southern Yemen, describing it as having been in one trench with Saudi Arabia.
Bin Breik indicated that Saudi Arabia is now besieged in Yemen.
Bin Breik’s tweet came on the eve of the Transitional Council’s supporters – the Emirati faction – launching an escalatory program to expel what they describe as the Saudi occupation.
Cities in southern and eastern Yemen witnessed widespread demonstrations this afternoon, inaugurating the new program.
The statements of Emirati leaders in the Transitional Council coinciding with the popular movement indicate that the confrontation with Saudi Arabia in southern Yemen has entered a new turning point that may include military confrontations in light of the mobilization and the high ceiling.
